RED Message to SRCE Staff Regarding Provincial Holiday on Monday, September 19, 2022
Good Afternoon SRCE Families:
As you are aware, the Government of Canada announced a federal holiday in honour of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral service on Monday, September 19, 2022.
Following the federal announcement, the Province of Nova Scotia also announced yesterday that it will recognize September 19 as a provincial holiday in honour of Her late Majesty. As a result, provincial government offices, public schools and regulated childcare will be closed.

This holiday is a chance to reflect on how we serve and contribute to our communities. It is also an educational opportunity to reflect on the history and connections among Nova Scotia, Canada and the United Kingdom.
