SRCE Update to Platforms for the Communication of Bus Route Service and Class Notifications
Posted on 12/02/2025
Please be advised effective Thursday, December 11, 2025, the current Stay Informed Notification System will be discontinued as the SRCE will be updating platforms for the communication of bus route notifications (bus service delays/cancellations) and class notifications (class cancellations/delays/early dismissals/shutdowns).
BusPlanner (Parent Portal) for Bus Route Notifications (bus service delays/ cancellations)
What does this mean for parents and guardians?
Parents and guardians of students currently enrolled in a SRCE school will be able to create a Parent Account through the new platform called BusPlanner to view the bus information (route numbers, bus stop locations and pick-up/drop-off times) assigned to their student.
Once a Parent Account is activated, you will also be able to choose to receive notices related to bus service delays and cancellations by email and/or text.
Please do not make any edits to your contact information as displayed in your BusPlanner Parent Portal Account.
Parents and guardians can expect to receive information by email on how to create a Parent Account in the Parent Portal section of BusPlanner Web on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
What does this mean for education partners?
All education partners, including staff, media and community members, will be able to view BusPlanner notifications on the SRCE website once the system is launched on December 11, 2025.
SchoolMessenger (PowerSchool) for Class Notifications (class cancellations/ delays/ early dismissals/shutdowns)
What does this mean for parents and guardians?
Parents and guardians of students currently enrolled in a SRCE school will receive email notifications related to class cancellations, delays, early dismissals and shutdowns impacting their student’s school through the platform called SchoolMessenger.
Parents and guardians may also choose to receive the notice by text message if you have opted-in. If you are not sure if you have opted in, text Y to the following number: 978338. Message and data rates may apply; and message frequency varies. You can always opt out in the future by replying to a text message with STOP.
Parents and guardians are asked to please ensure their current contact information (email address and cell phone number) is up to date at their student’s school.
