RED Message to SRCE Families - Information Update: Classes Cancelled on Thursday, September 29, 2022
Good Evening SRCE Families:
Further to this afternoon’s provincial announcement cancelling classes at all SRCE schools tomorrow, Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in consultation with the Province this evening, classes have also been cancelled for Thursday, September 29, 2022.
The additional cancellation will allow more time for further power restoration, to assess buildings, roads and properties and make any necessary repairs to ensure all building systems, services and infrastructure are working as they should for the safe return of students.
As previously noted on our Academic Calendar, there is no school on Friday, September 30, in observance of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
I would like to thank our Operations staff and the many crews who are working hard to clean-up and restore power and infrastructure to our schools and communities in the SRCE and throughout the province.
