Schools and community partners often wish to carry out physical improvements to school buildings or properties that cannot be accommodated within the available Regional Centre for Education budgets for Property Maintenance or Capital Renovations.
Replacing or enhancing a playground on school property requires an array of considerations and actions, which warrants attention at the onset of the project.

Community and parent groups working with schools and the Regional Centre for Education will consider the following information when planning for playgrounds and other options that promote student movement and physical activity in an inclusive and safe environment.
